Paul Wilmott.
Dr Paul Wilmott is internationally renowned as a leading expert on quantitative finance. His research work is extensive, with over 100 articles in leading mathematical and finance journals, as well as several internationally acclaimed books on mathematical modelling and derivatives, including the best-selling Derivatives and Paul Wilmott on Quantitative Finance, both published by John Wiley & Sons. Paul has extensive consulting experience in quantitative finance with leading US and European financial institutions. He has founded a volatility arbitrage hedge fund, a financial training company, and a university degree course. Paul has lectured at all levels, to students and to practitioners.
Paul Shaw.
Paul is the CEO and a founding member of 7city Learning. Having qualified as a chartered accountant in 1994 with Deloitte and Touche, he moved into a corporate role at BBC Worldwide, servicing both the television and publishing divisions. He then took on a senior management position in the Everyman publishing business, overseeing investor relations and assisting in the successful sale of their travel guide business to a US publishing house. In 1999 Paul, became a founding shareholder in a recruitment consultancy servicing finance professionals where he was responsible for securing private equity funding and oversaw all financial and strategic aspects of the business.
Cristian Alzati.
Cristian Alzati is the President and CEO of Sayula. Cristian has held VP level positions with Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital Japan designing and developing front office analytical solutions for the fixed-income derivatives and FX group. In 1997 Cristian worked as Principal Software Engineer with Infinity Financial Technology, he then co-founded Embark Solutions Inc where he co-invented US-Patented Embark's Flipstream. Previous to that, Cristian spent over five years with UBS in Zurich where he designed and built a highly successful server-based spreadsheet system that is still in production after more than 15 years of its initial deployment in 1991. Cristian holds a Master's and an Engineer's degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University.
Henri Lastenouse, Chairman of the Board.
Henri brings a highly successful entrepreneurial experience and vision in the technology arena. In 1996 Henri co-founded Hi-Media (www.hi-media.com), one of the most successful young entrepreneurship stories of the .com era in France. The Hi-Media Network is now the French leader in interactive marketing and the third largest in Europe. During his time as co-founder and director at Hi-Media, Henri was the CEO of Hi-Media's Luxembourg holding company and in charge of Hi-Media's legal affairs and shareholders relations. Also with France Europe Rencontre (FER) of Brussels, Henri is the lobbyist and advisor to French private and public entities in their understanding of European decision making processes and regulations. Henri holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from King's College, London, a Master's in Legal Affairs from Sorbonne University, Paris, and a Diploma of Specialized Studies in European Community Law also from Sorbonne University.
